Terms of Service

The service

Capstone Files is desktop software for Mac and Windows, licensed by monthly subscription. A subscription lets you run the app on up to three computers you own or control.

Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled case by case; email support within 14 days of a charge.

Your files

The software runs on your computer and reads the files you point it at. You are responsible for the content of your files and for having the right to index them. We never receive your files.

Acceptable use

Do not share license keys, resell access, or attempt to bypass the license check. We may suspend a key that is being shared.

Warranty and liability

The software is provided as is. We do our best to make it reliable, but we are not liable for lost data or missed search results. Keep your own backups. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the previous three months.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email to subscribers.
